Boy Scouts is for boys in 6th grade through 18 years old. Scouts will learn to use the ideals of the Scout Oath and Law throughout their everyday life. They wear a uniform and work together in patrols of 8-10 boys. Scouts learn to share responsibilities, apply skills, and live in the outdoors. Advancement provides opportunities for personal growth and self-reliance. The Troop is run by youth leaders with adult leaders serving as role models and mentors. Scouts are expected to help plan activities within the Troop and to participate in community service. Opportunities are also provided for leadership.
If your son loves the outdoors, consider joining the Huntington Woods Boy Scouts. We typically meet on the 2nd & 4th Monday’s of the month at 6:45pm in the Burton Gym. Scouts work at their own pace so you can join at any age.
